MENUMENU
In the days 27th - 28th August 2004 fifth year of National exhibition of sheep and goats, organized by OVEKO corporation and Sheep and Goats Breeder's Association in Czech Republic took place.
Visitors could look up to many breeder's skills,
  • Open championship of Czech republic in sheraing
  • Open championship of Czech republic in control of shepherd dog - German style
  • Competition in control of shepherd dog - English riding
  • Competition in spinning sheep wool
  • Competition for the best product from sheep or goat milk
  • Competition in chewing away noodles with sheep cheese
we were interested in everything with some connection to the wool.
The shearing competition was remarkable spectacle and the shearers showed their real masterhood.
Spinning competition had two parts, like that one in Brno in Spring. In the first part, only lenght of yarn in prescribed time (20 min.) was measured, the second part was concentred to a worth - the lenght of yarn made from limited amount of wool (30g) was appreciated. This competition was limited by the time, too (30 min.).

Also four another leavers of our courses took part in the spinning competition, but all the competitors was admired for their amazing skill.
I took part in the spinning competition like a organizer this once, but after the competition the exhibition of spinning raw fleece took place here. Also the youngest participant of the competition, 11 years old Jana Stupkova showed the spinning washed and carded wool with me.
